Pro Power Peel Aftercare
What you do after your peel is just as important as the peel itself. Taking good care of your skin will help it recover more quickly and help you get the best results possible. To optimise your recovery, follow your skin technician instructions and recommendations to the letter.
Post Peel Tip: Skin recovery is individual and your PRO power peel will have been customised for your skin concerns.
What to expect after your peel
- Skin may feel tight for several days.
- Light flaking may begin after 1-3 days and will usually subside within 7-10 days, however, it is impossible to predict this shedding process.
1. Follow Post Care Instructions - Follow the prescribed post care instructions given by your skin technician.
2. Apply Sunscreen Daily - Apply sunscreen daily after your treatment (minimum SPF30).
3. Remove Retinol Accelerator On Time - If a Retinol Accelerator was applied during your service and left on for you to remove at home, please remember to do this within a 4 hour time frame, then apply an SPF due to increased sensitivity to UV rays.
1. Avoid Direct Sunlight - Avoid direct sunlight for the next 2-3 weeks post the day of your treatment.
2. Avoid Waxing and Exfoliating - Do not wax or use any type of exfoliating products for the next 72 hours, or until treated skin shows no signs of sensitivity.
3. Do Not Peel or Pick - Do not peel or pick at scabs, blisters, or loose skin, as it can cause scarring.
4. Avoid Heat Sources - Avoid excess heat sources (such as sun exposure, saunas and steam rooms).
5. Avoid Strenuous Exercise - Avoid strenuous exercise or activity that could lead to increasing blood circulation to your face for 24 hours after your Pro Power Peel treatment. This can cause an increased warming effect, which could result in discomfort, redness, inflammation, swelling or other side effects.
