MelanoPro Peeling System Aftercare
Phase 1 of your MelanoPro peeling system has been applied in salon and your alarm set for your customised time. Please follow the at-home product application schedule below closely for optimal results.
At Home Product Application
Day 1: Removal of your Intensive peeling mask. (If skin is unable to tolerate the recommended leave-on time, please contact your dermal therapist.) Gently rinse off your mask (best in the shower) with cool or lukewarm water ONLY. Using your hands, make light fingertip circles on your wet skin. Do not rub the skin. Pat dry with a clean facial towel. Do not apply any product (serum, moisturiser, etc.) to the skin for 48 hours except the provided Dermalogica Ultra Calming Mist, which can be spritzed as often as required. Take a frontal photo of your face and feel free to share with your dermal therapist.
Day 2: Scheduled phone call with your Dermal therapist.
Day 3: Begin application of your provided Continuous Resurfacing cream twice daily (AM & PM). Spritz your skin and apply a pea size amount at every application. You may experience stimulation on the skin (tingling/activity) for 15-20 minutes for the first few days, this is normal. Please call the salon if the sensation lasts longer. Dermalogica Ultra Calming Mist can be used as often as desired over your Continuous Resurfacing cream. A physical sunscreen MUST be applied daily. Take a frontal photo of your face and feel free to share your progress with your Dermal therapist.
Day 5 onward: You may increase your application of Continuous Resurfacing cream up to 3 applications per day to accelerate results for up to 6 weeks or until tube is finished. You may continue your use of Dermalogica Ultra Calming as often as desired. Take a frontal photo of your face and feel free to share your progress with your Dermal therapist.
Potential Skin Response
Day 1-7: This is usually the most challenging part of your MelanoPro peeling treatment. Skin will begin flaking during this time. You may also experience heat, hives, tightening or dehydration. If your skin is feeling too sensitive, please contact the salon or drop your usage of Continuous Resurfacing cream to once daily. Please continue to mist as often as needed to soothe the skin. Take a frontal photo of your face Day 7.
Day 7-15: Your skin will go through an adjustment period during this time. You may still experience some sensitivity. Please continue to mist as often as desired to soothe the skin. Take a frontal photo of your face Day 14.
Day 16-48: This is when you can expect your skin results to peak. The results will become more and more visible. Your skin should not be sensitive anymore. Take a frontal photo of your face Day 21 & Day 42. Remember to maximise your results, increase your application of Continuous Resurfacing cream to 3 times daily (if sensitivity permits).
Day 42+: At this stage you may resume basic facial treatments such as an Inner Beauty facial. At this time we will discuss ongoing skin care routine and future treatment planning.
4 weeks post treatment completion: Your more advanced skin treatments may resume.
